What types of fuel cell vehicles are on California's roads?

DaimlerChrysler, GM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen are the eight automotive members of the California Fuel Cell Partnership. Jointly, they have placed more than 150 passenger vehicles on California’s roads. The vehicles range from compact models to sport utility vehicles and trucks. Click here to learn more about the passenger vehicles and to see pictures of the vehicles placed in California.

Our three public transit agency members have fuel cell buses in every-day service. AC Transit, SunLine and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority have fuel cell buses that carry passengers on regularly scheduled routes. The buses are averaging twice the mileage as diesel buses and have no air or noise pollution. Click here to learn more about the buses. You can also visit AC Transit’s HyRoad site to see real-time monitoring of the buses on their routes.
