New stations under construction

April saw significant progress on three of California’s new hydrogen stations. The CSU LA station has a parking lot and a building. Construction is moving quickly now and you can watch it real-time on Dr. Blekhman’s webcam.

The Harbor City station broke ground and is a first-of-its-kind station. A hydrogen dispensing island is going into an existing gasoline station. The dispensers will use hydrogen that is delivered as a high-pressure gas. Several other stations in the Los Angeles area will have a similar set up.

AC Transit’s station in Emeryville is also underway. This station is in an existing bus yard and is also a first-of-a-kind. The station will have a dispenser inside the bus yard for buses, and a separate dispenser outside for passenger vehicles. Car drivers will fill with renewably made hydrogen.
