Mercedes F-Cell World Drive US Leg

During the F-CELL World Drive, three Mercedes-Benz B-Class F-CELL vehicles are passing through 14 countries and four continents to drive once around the globe in a zero-emission. The convoy started in Stuttgart on January 30 and plans to end in at the same place in early June, covering about 19,000 miles in 125 days. CaFCPCalifornia Fuel Cell Partnership member Linde is providing mobile fueling for the trip.

On February 25, the vehicles arrived in Miami for the North America leg of the tour. Three bright green Mercedes F-Cells traveled along I-10, going through the Southern US, then turning north on I-5 in Los Angeles toward the destination in Vancouver, BC. In total, the vehicles drove about 4,660 miles in North America.

The three-week trip had about 35 fueling stops during 18 legs, 34 were mobile fueling stations provided by CaFCP member Linde AG and one was a public hydrogen filling station in Los Angeles. The vehicles also filled at CaFCP’s station in West Sacramento.
