Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis
The Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis (ITS-Davis) was formally established in 1991 to conduct socially important research, education and outreach programs related to the energy and environmental aspects of transportation. ITS-Davis is now an internationally-recognized center that encompasses 40 affiliated academic faculty, 15 research faculty, and 80 graduate students. ITS-Davis pursues research programs in clean vehicle technologies and policy, air quality, travel behavior, telecommunications, and fuels pathways analysis. With respect to fuel cell vehicles and hydrogen, the Institute runs the nation’s leading public research program on hydrogen infrastructure, hosts California’s first Hydrogen Highway station, and carries out FCV demonstrations and market research with auto OEMOriginal Equipment Manufacturer vehicles placed on campus.
